  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hey everyone,

I bought a used Genesis G70 2019 AWD 2T in the summer (August). It had a good Car-fax history (regular maintenance from Hyundai) with decent KMs (50,xxx) so I pulled the trigger. So far, everything has been fine but the gas consumption is a bit concerning.

On a full tank (91 Gas), I get 250-270kms city driving. Highway, I can get 300km.

Usually my consumption is 14 - 16LM/100KM for city, and 10-12L/100KM for highway.

I know Genesis isn't know for it's fuel efficiency, but mine seems a bit worse. I do drive on sport, but I don't drive aggressively to the point where my range of gas would be that bad. This is also my first car I bought so I'd appreciate any tips/what to check before I get it checked out.

Either you have a lead foot, or there is something wrong with your G70. Our G70 2.0T 6MT easily gets 22-25mpg city and 30+mpg hwy. If we keep the hwy speed less than 80mph, it isn't too difficult to squeeze 32-35mpg out of it.

16L/100KM is 14.7 mpg Around the city, in Sport mode, is not all that bad. You are driving in a lower gear much of the time.

What did you get in Normal mode? You did try it, didn't you? If you must be in Sport all the time you probably could change some driving habits for better mileage.

Having the same issue but it’s my MAP sensor
