  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

G'day guys,
I'm new to the forum and waiting on the G70 to launch in Australia. Latest indications are that it will be in May.
I am hoping it lives up to my expectations.
I have previously had an Audi Q5 3.0 TDI and was not very impressed overall. Exorbitant price and the servicing was just a rip-off. They charge twice as much for servicing here as they do in the UK.
The price of all the German luxury brands is getting ridiculous here. The 2018 Opel Insignia GS (you know it as the Buick Regal GS) has been has been released here and is much cheaper than the luxury brands so just shows the luxury brands are enjoying huge profits here.
So, I'm ready to give the Genesis G70 a go and put my shot into the bow of the German brands. Provided Genesis here doesn't put a premium on here over the Canadian pricing.
The G70 looks good on paper but none available to see here yet. The only thing that concerns me at this stage is whether it is too small inside. I have read some comments that it is "cosy" inside.
Looking at the specs it is not much bigger than my wife's Mazda 3. Although I find that OK inside. Anyone have any thoughts on this?

Anyway, G'day to all

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
It feels a little smaller on the inside then my corolla, I would imagine its also a little tighter then your wifes Mazda 3

The G70 is quite wide for a compact car; it is almost as wide as a G80. If it is just you and your wife, you will have more than enough space. If you have kids in the back, it will be more cramped. I've had a guy that is 6'4" sit in the front and I am 5'11" and have sat behind him with about 1" of knee room to spare (but 3" of headroom) but my toes were a little cozy.

Genesis Australia told me they were making an announcement in May about the Australian launch date for the G70. Has anyone heard anything else?
They keep putting the launch date back. It's getting frustrating, as I sold my car about 3 months ago in anticipation.
I've been sharing the wife's car and she's not happy !
