  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I had to replace my 2019 G80 Sport that was totaled. After calling around I found these guys. They didn't have what I wanted but they found it in less than an hour and gave me a price about $3,000 under MSRP. We did most of the paperwork ahead of time and two days later I picked up the car. No dealer fee, no add ons, we were in and out in a little over an hour and the price actually went down a little because they estimated the tag transfer fee. I'm still in shock that I found a no BS dealer that didn't play games during the process.

Very nice. Congrats on the new ride. I remember when you posted about your first one being totaled and how it made me cringe. That was the one that was hydrolocked, right?

That was it, insurance came through and now I'm styling again.

Congrats. Glad it worked out for ya.

That was quick, congrats again, lol

Congrats.

But I guess the next question is will your insurance company be dropping you soon, or raising your rates way up since technically you caused the car to be totaled? Or do they treat it as "act of God"?

I'm betting on a large increase, I have three cars and my house with them so hopefully they don't want to lose those policies too.

I thought the same thing when we had State Farm and after one car wreck they dropped us within 6 months. We had house and 2 cars with them.

Thank you for posting this review. This is helpful for me.

UPDATE: I just had the 6,000 mile service done and the dealer still rates a good. I called about two weeks ahead to ensure valet/loaner was available, today they showed up on time and had the G80 back to me less than four hours later. The loaner was a base model G70 which made me realize how spoiled I am - I spent about twenty minutes in the car complaining to myself about no 360 camera, no ventilated seats, no trunk close button, etc. Then I realized the loaner stickered out at about $20,000 less than mine and I stopped.

Also, @Alfer - my insurance went up by about 8% after totaling the previous car, much less than I expected.

Do I guess not all Genesis dealer are bad. And some actually have their act together. All too often folks get a lopsided impression because they only see the bad reviews
