I didn't realize there was a sub-forum for this purpose, so I'm just copying and pasting a comment from another thread about Genesis of the North Shore, in Plainview, NY. Sales experience was friendly enough (of course), however:
"Customer service is atrocious. My dealer took 30 days to pay off my trade, and refused to return my calls about reimbursing for an extra payment I had to make after I traded in the car. It took 3.5 months and a BBB complaint in order to get my money. Inexcusable. Then they had my car for service for 3 weeks (headliner noise) and despite being promised at least 10 times that someone would call me back, no one did until I finally lost my patience and started yelling. Absolute trash."
In addition to my grievances above, they never mention the valet service when I called (not sure I'd want them driving my car anyway) and I don't think they actually have any Genesis loaner cars. The one time my car was in I was driving a lime-green Kona for three weeks, which was fun for a minute but if I wanted a Kona I would have bought one.
Overall, Genesis is going to have to do a lot better than this hole if they want to attract customers from the established prestige brands.
