  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hi all,

I'm operating a 2015 Genesis Ultimate 5.0L V8 in Pamplona Red and I am extremely delighted with the exclusivity of this bus.

When I am behind the wheel I really feel like I command respect and power.

Now I am wondering if I could extend this feeling by carrying out a re-badge project?

Because the exterior is so sublime 'n refined I would like to re-badge my Genesis as a Rolls Royce Phantom.

Why pay $1.2M when you can get the same thing with different badges for $55,000?

It really is money for jam.

Are there any kits available which will assist with this project?

Thanks,
Genesis Expert.

Don't waste your money. Your ego is already big enough.

And for the sake of the rest of us, please don't. You'll wind up looking like this idiot. And you won't be fooling anyone.

PMCErnie I don't usually like talking about my money as I don't want to seem like a w*nker. In saying that, wasting money is not a concern for me, I have plenty of the cheddar. Buying the Genesis was like buying a really good, yet affordable, packet of crisps from 7-eleven.

And for the sake of the rest of us, please don't. You'll wind up looking like this idiot. And you won't be fooling anyone.

That LOOKS good. Exactly what I am talking about except with the Rolls-Royce badges instead of Mercedes. Mercedes are good but they're not exactly bolting jet engines onto the wing of a Boeing are they?

Regards,
Genesis Expert.

No, the point was...don't be a poser. If you have 'plenty of cheddar', go buy a RR. I've been very lucky in life and could've bought something with much more prestige than the Genesis, but I like the value for dollar. And that's the difference between playing rich and being wealthy, being happy with something for the purpose it serves, enjoying a good value, and not trying to impress others.

If not, be happy with what you have and stop trying to make it into something it's not. I'd bet you rock a fake Rolex too.

What are you saying - that this is not a real Mercedes?

Someone needs to think of the children ...

Rolls Royces are way to common, I think you should strive for the Bugatti look, way more exclusive, faster, and just all around better. If you make it look like the next gen Bugatti Veyron, you'll be the fist person anywhere in the world with that car. That's exclusivity, you will be better than any rich sheik, Russian mobster or other posers that will be buying one ...

Or go for the Koenigsegg look, they only ever built around 100 cars, that's even more exclusive!

Ya know, I have to admit - that Kia - is it an Optima? I think it looks pretty good as a Mercedes. :p And I bet it fools a lot of people. Not car enthusiasts - but most other people.

Whether the original poster is trolling or not - I kinda wonder what his car would look like with Rolls Royce badges. :p I say DO IT. :D

Some people here take it way too seriously.

Actually, I'm thinking of going stealth and rebadging my Genesis as an Optima. What a laugh when all those people show up at the Kia dealer looking for the "big" Optima. lol

Well... That would be the K900 or Cadenza. :p
