Hi. I own a 2013 Hyundai Genesis R-spec 5.0, which I love to drive. Recently, the RHS side-mirror stopped folding; it just makes a grinding noise and is stuck. All other functions work: power, auto-dim, memory, blind spot warning, heat and puddle light. I have priced its replacement through the dealership and it did not make sense to spend close to $1500 on this one functionality. I found an excellent thread from 2019 in this forum where a resident expert, Hargarbl, provided step-by-step instructions on how to replace the motor gear, but doing that is outside of my domain of expertise/comfort. I am comfortable with removing the door panel/trim, and exposing the connectors. All that I want to do at that point is to remove the wire that controls the fold/unfold function so accidentally pressing "Lock" on the FOB twice doesn't put the mirror in a fruitless grinding of its gear. I have searched online for the wiring diagram/pinout to no avail. Anyone knows the wiring assignment for the mirror connectors? A color-coded diagram would be amazing. I did find the fuse that controls this function, but that fuse also controls power and AC (I'm assuming that means heat) for both LHS and RHS, which are functions I want to keep. I appreciate the benefit of our resident experts advice. Thanks.
