The November 2011 issue of Consumer Reports has the results of a test of upscale sedans, and the Genny won!:
1. Genesis 3.8
2. Lexus ES 350
3. Avalon Ltd.
4. Maxima 3.5 SV
5. Acura TL
6. Chrysler 300C
7. Lincoln MKZ
8. LaCrosse CXS (V6)
9. Taurus Ltd.
10. Charger Rallye Plus (V6)
Genny highs included powertrain, quietness, seat comfort, roomy interior, fir and finish, controls. The one low was ride refinement (that's true, and I drove my first Equus today, which wasn't all that much better).
BTW, also read R&T's 4-car comparo in the October issue, in which the Equus came in 4th but remarkably close to the other three, which cost $35-45K more!
