  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

hey guys,
I'm new to these forums, pls don't hate me, or get mad at me if i say something wrong.

I've decided to get the Gensis 2.0T:D bc of the gas issue:(
while searching around for my first mod.. i was wondering if any1 knows anything about the mxp exhaust for the gensis.. like for example, hp gains and torque gains..

if any1 knows anything about it, pls let me know

thanks
The SQWERL

If you are looking for power mods do the exhaust last.

You should upgrade the pre-intake with at least a gutting of the silencer and replacement with a 3" piece of tubing and then a cone filter on the end. Look out as the stock rubber hose will tend to kink and close up under large air flows.

Then remove the second cat.

Then upgrade the IC if you have a need any repeated or prolong high output situations.

But a tune is the best bang for the buck. If you have done the other upgrades then you can get larger injectors and the tune. Only then will upgrading the exhaust with a larger diameter really help out.

At this point you will be out of turbo.

Any performance mods will need to be monitored so a boost gage and A/F gage are almost mandatory on this car for safety.

Not sure what the 3.8 gets but our 2.0 hasn't exactly been great on mpg. About 20 or so.

lol that's what I first thought as well.

but to the point, the stock exhaust is surprisingly good so that really shouldn't be on your radar.

a CMD tune is probably your best bet, a wideband, injectors, intake, intercooler, all of those first.

but DEFINITELY look into a CMD tune.
