  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I see the options online how to get notifications, but how do I set the curfew times and geofencing locations?

You need to install the Alert Service App in your car and then you set the alerts online via the Bluelink Web Page after you log in (I don't think you can access the right page from mobile devices though).

That's not one of the available apps. There's Car Care, Aha, and SoundHound.

It was available in the download area on my Ultimate. In fact, I just downloaded it onto the 2016 last night! Maybe not supported on all head units?

Here's what it looks like in the download screen (mine says Run as I already installed it):

And here's what it looks like in car (app is sort of wierd - you can't set anything in the car - has to be done from the Bluelink via myHyundai.com website (and only seems to show on desktops - not mobile devices):

Interesting. I email tech support and they told me to log into myhundai and blue link, and there would be buttons to configure it. I only see 4 buttons, so I wrote them back and they said oh, they made a mistake, it isn't available on the 2016. I'm going to the dealer tomorrow for an airbag light, maybe they will know. Doubt it...

It all worked on my 2015 - but, like you, I'm finding it doesn't work on my 2016. I was able to install the Alert Services in the car as shown above. However, when I go to MyHyundai.com the Alert Service items are greyed out?

If I click on them I get a pop-up that says "Discover new and exciting Blue Link content with this in-vehicle app. To learn more, please upgrade youyr Blue Link subscription" - but I already have all the Bluelink packages?

A call to Bluelink led nowhere as they said the Genesis is not supported - When I told them it worked fine on my 2015, they said the 2016 may not yet be supported - honestly they seemed somewhat clueless (though pleasant and courteous). I give up for now as the apps are not a big deal to me - but shows they really don't have their act together!

Right after I installed the in-car app on my 2016 AWD they were still greyed out, but some time later they became active except for location sharing.

I tried out the geofencing and the speed alert. The speed alert worked once, but subsequent violations did not trigger it. So you'll know if your kid is speeding but not how often. :-)

The geofencing didn't trigger but I may have not driven far enough away, I will try it again sometime.

The only one of these that may be useful to me would be the Valet part of Geo-fence but that is pretty useless if you must set it from the web. These should be included in the phone app, or better yet in the car with a PIN or password.

Yeah, I think I'm over this Blue Link thing. I will keep the remote start part of it, but the rest I'm cancelling when the free trial is over. All I really want from them is Android Auto, so I can stop using the Navigation. Twice it has brought me to some residential neighborhood behind my destination, and the traffic triggers constant detour suggestions that take 10 minutes longer. Google Maps does it so well.... But every time I ask them about AA, I get a different clueless story

it says that my vehicle cant be authenticated, and to contact customer support which i have and they seem to be so clueless about this. has this happen to anyone before. I have the 2015 genesis 3.8 tech

Same issue on my 2016 3.8 AWD. Blue link has yet to call me back after submitting an escalation ticket. Won’t let me download the app in vehicle.

I'm in a similar boat with my '15 5.0 but I'm able to download the app in the car only for the app to say, "Please download Alerts App in your vehicle to use this feature." MyhyPXL_20210203_172805558.webpundai.com is basically the same...
