Getting an oil change but the Genesis dealership is too far away.

I'm in Topeka and I have a 2023 GV70. The closest dealer is 1.5 hours away. Does anyone have their Hyundai dealership change your oil?

I'm delayed in responding, but I do my own. Not hard, but you will need a set of ramps in order to get under the car. Can you give it a try?

My local Hyundai dealer will not touch my wife's 2023 G70. Genesis dealer only for dealer service. I find it inconvenient to bring a car to a shop for draining oil and changing a filter, so it really does pay to do this yourself, especially if you have a local recycling center or auto part stores in your area to recycle the used oil.

And, the way these dealers and manufacturers are today, I want a statement of service from a certified garage that said service was done at what date and mileage. CYA always.

I'm 71. Last oil change took me all of 20 minutes. ;-)

Good that you still can. I'm 80. Last one I did was 20 years ago.

I still fill the washer fluid though.

Yeah, all OK here. But still not as easy to change the oil on my last car, an Outback. But...is there any reason that you can't take the car to a quickie lube?

Nope. Be sure to get a receipt, note the miles and date in case needed for warranty purposes.
As always, be sure to check the oil level afterwards.

Dealership for me right now as my scheduled maintenance is free for the first 3 years. I've gone to the quickie places before. I've had no issues with them, but others have stated that they don't stock our oil filters.
