  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Never seen this before.
The lock cylinder on the glove box latch came out with the key.
I can insert the cylinder back in, but the latch doesn't engage.
And the cylinder comes right back out. Locked out! Wife's wallet inside.
I saw one previous post about this. Anyone have this issue?
Is a new door assembly the fix?

I had same problem with my 2015, The complete glove box was replaced by the extended warranty company, I think there is a thread on repairing this in here.

locksmith may be able to fix. Those cylinder cores can be changed out by removing them in the manner which you just did :)

After getting the glove box out, found a plastic tab broken that holds the mechanism in place.
Looks like I need a new GB. I'll see how good my AUL warranty is.
