  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Genesis Model Type
Genesis G90
I am happy with my 2020 G90 with 60K miles; however, looking for a good reason to trade it for a 2025 G90, and seeking opinions. I am having no issues with my 2020. I am in no rush and could wait for a 2026, thanks for your opinions.

This is an easy one to answer, the same reason I've used often. "I want a new car"
You will also get a new warranty, good justification. Given the complexity of new cars, I don't want one out of warranty.

I am going from memory so could be wrong. I think when you compare 20 with 25 you get some new stuff
auto open and close door
air suspension
front camera looking for turns or bumps and adjust suspension for such events

The interiors are waaay better. You may be stepping down to the 3.5TT e-SC. I am happy with it, but it is no V-8. No spare tire either. The radio is pretty good. The NVH is outstanding, and the ride is butter, but sticks to the road when needed. The automatic systems that can stop the car in emergencies is very cool. There are a ton of airbags and the crash rating is very good. The 2026's are out now, you can still find 2025's, and you may get a better deal. I don't think the 2026's have anything extra in them that the 2025 don't have. But there is the Black edition, comes in black and white, but only one color. I am still happy with my burgundy interior.

And the number #1 reason….You get free connected services for life if you get it new, I believe the 2023 and up it is free!

Wireless CarPlay! Wireless charging! UV disinfection lol!

I am a big fan of the fragrance system.

The brake closing the doors is a bullshit gimmick. You will put your foot on the brake out of habit and turn this feature off. However, the buttons to close the door are awesome! I would get annoyed as hell going to a car without electric doors after just 3 months.

Sounds system is awesome!

Speakers in the head rests.

Auto back-in parking and parallel parking with buttons inside or with the key fob.

Auto lane switching.

Mood curator!
Massage seats, massage seats, massage seats. Mood curator turns on the massage seats!

Foot rest in the back seat.

If you are tall, better get in and out about 20 times to make sure you fit.

Thanks for the info. I pulled the trigger on a 2026 G90 409 HP. It is a true upgrade from my 2020 G90 WRT ride and comfort; and my 2020 was no slouch. I've only had it a day, so am still in the early stages of figuring it out (with the help of You Tube)

I have had my 2026 G90 for almost a week. Still figuring out the changes and additions from my 2020 Genesis. First, the ride is much, much better; in fact, everything seems better, except for the lack of a spare tire. What should be my strategy other than having a good roadside service contract?

Get a spare tire and keep it in the trunk. Maybe a can of fix-a-flat. Sorry to see you let the 20 go - especially as you have not had any issues with it in 5+ years of ownership. Unlikely you will be able to say the same with the newer model, based upon the threads here. As an aside - unfortunately Arnott does not have a history of remanufacturing air suspension components for Hyundai - only conversion kits. So be ready to open the wallet when the bladders start drying, cracking and leaking (wearable part).

Fix-a-flat only. Spare tire would be crazy and a trunk killer, which is exactly why you have a fancy cell phone and get free roadside assistance from Genesis!

2026 you are not paying for a thing. I have the 2023 and it is as good as my 2017 which I never even came close to having an issue and my Palisade never had an issue either. Hyundai parent knows cars. These things are peak automobile in most every category! Knock wood.

So, I'm 900 miles from home, close to midnight, gash in tire, all I have to do is call roadside assistance and they will get me the next 600 miles to my destination. Great. Sure is simple.
I like having a spare. I've used it and would have had serious problem without it. Cheap insurance.

You carry a full size spare?

I remember using the temp spare on my 2017…that made me nervous as hell. They have limited mile range and limited speed range…I found myself hitting 80 mph with it…I tried to stay at 45 or 50 MPH, but was just so hard to do.

Yeah…if you absolutely positively have to be there. If I am 900 miles away I am absolutely calling roadside, getting a room and getting it fixed properly and enjoying the hotel and mini adventure.

So you only get flat tires walking distance from a motel? I applaud your good timing. Of course, the tire store is open the next day too.
My trip last May, I stopped at 3 motels in about 40 miles just to get a room.
