Goodbye 2009, Hello 2011!

I have enjoyed my 2009 Genny so much over the last two years, and the lease is up Monday. So I went to OC Hyundai and signed a three-year lease on a 2011 V6 Tech, and should get it tomorrow.

Took a 2011 V8 for a test drive to try the new auto hold brake. Very cool, and very smooth acceleration when applying the gas pedal from stop. Not sure what I expected, but it was better. Looking forward to trying out the smart cruise control.

Got the same color combo - white and cashmere - so I can reuse my illuminated door sills. Looks like the wheels are different, so I will probably have to get new hub caps.

Excited? Heck yes!

In order of importance, my favorite feature upgrades from my '09 to my '11 are:

1. The ability to download my phone's address book.
2. The auto hold feature - after I was satisfied that the thing was safe to use in traffic.
3. The adaptive cruise control - after I had the nerve to test it on a 4 lane divided highway with my friend braking hard in front of me.
4. The ability to shuffle songs on my iPhone.
