  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Traded in my 2010 3.8 premium, white with saddle interior on a 2016 3.8 AWD, Casablanca white with the grey interior, 44k miles, 1 owner/leased vehicle. Searched for a few months and finally found what I thought to be an incredible deal and made the 5 hr trip from my house to Akron, OH to get the car. I wanted a 2015 or newer AWD with the signature package at a minimum and preferred the Casablanca white. I had to have the panoramic roof! The only thing I wish it had is the premium leather from the Technology package. I wasn't interested in the other things the tech package came with though. It was a pretty epic trip which included a blowout in a construction zone, an hour wait for a flatbed tow and 1 cheap replacement tire. I stood on the side of the road terrified my new to me car was going to be destroyed at any minute! But she's home and I couldn't be happier. Lucked up and didn't hit anything or bend the wheel. ALMOST left that dealership with a 2016 Maserati Ghibli 4QS instead, it was close, but I'm happy with the new car and my decision to stay in the Genesis fold. 4 new Continental DWS 06 tires go on the car Monday with tint to follow

Good call getting the Genesis instead of the Maserati.

Ohhh noooo glad you made it home safe. That’s one hell of a drive home!

Congrats and good luck with the car. Going to get an extended warranty?

Yes, I am.

The selling dealerships options were terrible. They offered me 5yrs/60k miles, $100 deductible for $3500....no way. Bob Poynter Hyundai is in the town where I live and they serviced my 2010 from day one. They're giving me 5yr/75k miles, bumper to bumper, zero deductible ($200 disappearing), for $1900. I spoke with the managing partner and he's telling me they're going to try to run the car through their shop and certify it as CPO, which would then make the price on the warranty cheaper, and also make it worth a bit more. We'll see. Waiting on my refund check from the warranty on the 2010, then I'm purchasing the warranty from Bob Poynter.

Sounds good. You might want to check with Crystal Carreau at Burlington Hyundai Vt. She has the rep for lowest price Hyundai Factory Warranties. I got a good deal from her on my 2019 Santa Fe.

Definitely. I shopped for this car for quite some time and had been focused on only it. When we got to the dealership they had so many other things that I hadn't even considered. Drove a couple of Mercedes, CLS's with AWD and they were great, but didn't feel better then the Genesis. Not $10k better anyway. They had 4 Maserati's there and I'd never considered them. 1 was white, just had its 40k major service, new tires, amazing aftermarket exhaust. My salesman took it in on trade and I called the previous owner while I was on the lot. That car was INTOXICATING. AWD and it sounded and launched like an absolute MONSTER. I lost my mind! As I was literally about to put pen to paper and make the biggest mistake in my 40 yrs on earth the co-owner came up to me and told me NOT to buy the Maserati and to stick with the Genesis I made the 5 hr drive for. He told me that he'd rather not just sell me 1 car, but build a relationship, and if I took that Maserati I'd lose my ass and never come back. I'd have had a blast in that thing though!......until it broke.

Thank you, I will! That's what I wanted, the HMA warranty. I called all of the Hyundai dealers in a 75 mile radius and NONE of them would sell it to me. They all had their own non HMA options!

Yeah. I got the Hyundai Platinum, 10/100 for $1,898 no sales tax for the Santa Fe. The Genesis will be more but give it a shot and post it.

Smart move. It was intoxicating to drive but after a year or so you may be intoxicating yourself from the service problems.

Go figure. I got the Hyundai Platinum 10/120,000 for $1,600 for my ‘19 Santa Fe Ultimate 2.0T. I like to pass my cars onto family members, so an extended warranty is a must for me.

Wheels and tint have been knocked out now. Gold G2 caliper paint is on the way, then Ark GT-F springs, then slotted and cross drilled rotors when the stock rotors are done, also a small sub to round out my sound at some point (this 14 speaker Lexicon sound system doesn't hold a candle to the 14 speaker Lexicon system in my 2010 for some reason!).
