  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Traded in my 2009 Genesis yesterday. Tried to make it work with 2 kids, but my wife wanted a three row vehicle for car pooling, etc. Only had the car for 2.5 years and really liked it - zero problems. Bought a 2011 Odyssey Touring Elite. I must say I do like all the utility it offers.

Gotta do what you gotta do. Good luck with the new ride.

can't go wrong with a minivan. very smart vehicle. my wife wouldn't drive one or i'd have bought one years ago. best of luck with it.

One of Honda'a better offerings, nice choice. Good luck.

Excellent choice......I have a 2007 Odyssey EXL and it is a great people hauler! Drive from Ontario to Florida every year and it is a delight. Smooth, powerful and feature rich.

The new "lightening bolt" design is interesting and have sat in one a few times at the dealer......initially was concerned the lower profile would not be conducive for someone 6'3", but was pleasantly surprised.

One thing I know I would miss though is the in floor storage......not sure why Honda left that out of the new design.

Enjoy the new ride!

The spare tire is now in the space where the in the floor storage was.

Agreed but IMHO they should have left it where it was. ;)

We use the in floor storage extensively as it holds a surprising volume of goods, which in turn generates more space in the back storage.

It is a great vehicle and am sure you will enjoy immensely.

Too bad they don't make a minivan with 375hp ;-)

We own an '07 Odyssey as well - best Honda I've ever driven, by far. The ONLY Honda I would purchase these days though. I have to say, I am not a big fan of the redesign - there was nothing wrong with the previous design. Dang near perfect... the only reason we even considered the Sienna was the AWD - and that was NOT worth the $40k+ price tag.

Love that van... it is the only thing I drive from 1715 EST Friday to 0815 EST Monday.

GOOD LUCK!

Since he mentioned minivans... anyone else participate in the Hyundai Think Tank minivan activity? Based on the sort of questions they were asking, it seems as though the company is definitely working on a model.

:)

I hope they take the i40 and make it a little bigger... add a 3rd row. That thing is sexy!

you drive from canada to florida every year? do you hate to fly?

LOL.....nah.....just love driving thru the mountains of West Virginia and the Odyssey makes it that much more enjoyable.

Buffalo is only 90 minutes from home and from there it is 20 hours to Fort Myers. Fly enough for business and it provides a nice change of pace.

Plus we can take the bikes and many more items than we could not via air. If they Genny were a good winter car I would even consider taking it one time......just love driving it and have only had 2 months thus far since purchasing in October......put it away from December through early April until all the snow and salt vanishes. ;)

Not sure Canadians can participate in the Think Tank, but interesting to hear they are considering re-entering a market they exited just a couple years ago with the Entourage.....after playing in this space for just 2 or 3 years. Figured they were leaving that segment to the Kia Sedona.

So they were really inquiring about interest in a minivan......

Agree on the new i40.....

How do you find out about participating in their various think tanks? I have owned 4 Hyundai's since 2005 and about to purchase my 5th for my daughter's graduation.

Thanks

I think you will enjoy your new van.

I had Mazda MPV, Honda Odyssey, and now Toyota Sienna...
Of these three, I liked Odyssey the most. Sienna come close 2nd though.
.
come back and see us again after the kids are grown ^^
