  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

So, I got "THE" cable, for the iphone, and it's actually better than I hoped! I'd been bluetoothing my phone to the radio, and also using the white iPod cable to play my iPhone through the car. Played fine, but I had to scroll through the phone to play stuff.

I wasn't going to buy THE cable, because it's pretty pricey, but one made it's way to me, so I have it. Well, I didn't realize "THE" cable would allow the iphone to be controlled through the car -and everything comes up on the screen - truth be told, I hadn't looked into it, but it's a really great thing to have.

Weird thing is, every time I plu in the phone, it works for 10 seconds, then stops. I unplug the iphone - plug it back in, and it never does it again. But every time I use the phone, I have to do this procedure. Anyone else?

Looks great...but

Search the forums. I recall there being some early discussion on problems with these cables. They are picky in terms of how they are connected (phone first or car first - I can't remember).

Yeah, I didn't do any searching on it- it's a weird glitch - but, it's OK, and it really works great!

The salesman gave me one at the dealer, but I bought a backup cable on eBay from a seller named autoware302. It is a genuine Hyundai cable and works perfectly on my 2012 with both an iPod and iPhone 4s.

It is about 2 inches shorter than the one I got at the dealer, but as I said, it is a genuine Hyundai cable for $16.99, free shipping.
