Governed?

I've had the Racechip tuner on my G80 sport for a few weeks now. I recently had a chance to stretch it's legs a little, it pulled hard up to 140 and was still pulling before I had to let off. Does this thing have a governor, what will it top out at?

I did 150 in mine so far and it felt like there is still lots of room. I'll try again in a couple of months once my summer set of wheels/tires are back on. I'll say 155mph is the limit or around 165-ish. I think some of the Kia Stinger owners were reporting 160+

Hmmmm, our stock tires are speed rated "W"=168mph.
Just another reason why I think Genesis had spec'd an insufficient tire for the Sport.

I know they are rated W, but reading reviews here about those tires, makes me wonder. I know, sh*t can happen with any brand of tires, but I rather use "best" tires available, which in my case are Michelin PS4s's.

I just got mine up to 153, ran out of road, it was still going however, the site I was looking at said it tops out at 155. Almost made it but again ran out of road . Hopefully my JB4 upgrade will get me there and beyound

The JB4 will get you there quicker, but it isn't removing the governor, sorry. At least not yet.

I don't think it has a governor, but I don't know for sure. The Kia Stinger says it tops out at 167mph, and my guess is that top speed is dictated by wind resistance. I am betting the G80 would be similar, but I haven't had a chance to go past 150 yet.
