GPS has a mind of its own

This is a 2019 G70 I have had for two years. I never update the software and don't know if I'm supposed to and if so how to do it.

For the past two weeks, while driving, the GPS suddenly picks reference point,
not always exactly where I am, and then offers to "start guidance". I can erase this if I press the map button.
What's going on? Should I press the reset button for the software? If I do press it will that erase my recorded addresses

Yeah the screen is weird not sure if it picks up sun rays or something but if you have the map full screen it'll start getting dragged out randomly. Done software updates and that has always been present so probably a hardware issue. Some people said replacing the screen hasn't fixed that either..
