  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hi, anyone know how to get the GPS speed up on the map screen. My Garmin unit displays this, and I find it more useful than the inaccurate (always reads high) speedometer. The HUD speed seems to be the same as the speedo, so presumably that is not GPS sourced.
If not, I will miss that figure.

Not sure on the Nav screen display, but my HUD speedometer usually matches the GPS speed on Waze running on my iPhone - so the Genesis speedo seems pretty accurate (at least in my car).

Thanks. You've given me an idea. I'll take the Garmin unit with me and compare the values.

I validate with my iPhone gps every time I switch from summer to winter tires. Although my winters are the exact same size as the stockers, the speedo is 2 kmh faster with the winters on. This will also slightly change as the tread wears. Something to double check when you change tires to another brand. Do not assume the same size will actually be the same size, been there done that. ;)

There are tons of free speedometer apps out there. I happen to use this. https://itunes.apple.com/ca/app/speedometer-free-speed-limit/id557871911?mt=8
