I have a 2012 Equus Ultimate. I would like to update my gps. According to what I've read, it can be ordered by dealer only. Is there any way around this, or can possibly the dealer order for me. Any help is appreciated.

The problem is not the software per se that is the problem, but the installation. Go to www.mapnsoft.com for more information.

From what I have figured out about this, you can only update via the dealership....I have wanted to get around this and do it myself also but it's a 6 disk update that only the dealer can get. 2014 and newer can order a USB Stick online and update themselves.

i have the 2012 ultimate also.. and where i live there has been SOOOO MANY NEW STREETS and highways added in the last 5 years that its horrible trying to use the navigation.. how much do dealerships charge to update the NAV?

Dealer definitely not required to install new navigation software. I have done it to my '14 Equus. MapnSoft (sic) sells you a thumb drive with good instructions. It is a huge file and takes about an hour to download.
