  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Just took a 900 mile round trip road trip with 3 other people and my 2010 Genesis 3.8 was awesome. Fit all of our luggage for a 4 day weekend weeding with no problems. Plenty of room to spread out. Cruised at 70 mph like a champ will getting better than 28 mpg. Other than being a 9 hour ride down and a 8 hour ride back I enjoyed it better than flying. Plus for the four of us to fly it would have been close to $1000.

I did the same thing over the weekend. I drove 9 hours each way over the weekend. This car loves to cruise at 75+ with no problems, smooth as butter and super quiet.

My longest single day trip was just over 600 miles and I had a similar experience but only on smooth highways. The highways in California sucked big time and my R-spec was bouncing all over their damn potholes and pavement cracks. Once east of Palm Springs all was good again.

I love driving the car here in the Phoenix area where our highways are kept in very good condition but I would not own an R-spec living almost anywhere else. Need a softer, more compliant suspension to deal with bad roads (hello Portland, everywhere in CA, Houston and almost the whole east coast).

We like road tripping in our 2009 but with todays world of gadgets, we HATE the lack of power outlets in the backseat area. I hate running cables from the front console areas for the folks in the back. Don't know what Hyundai was thinking neglecting the backseat with some form of power outlet.

On long trips I get 30 mph at 75mph. At 65mph I get 31+
