  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hey I have a 2009 Genesis Coupe 3.8 Grand Touring

I wanted to replace the grill with mesh and I haven't found one made specifically for a genesis (If you know one please share)

I was just going to buy a sheet of mesh and cut it.

I was wondering if anyone had a guide or tips on how to do so. I know there's guides on how to do this but I was wondering specifically for a genesis.

Yep, I know they want a lot of cash for these grills:D.
If nothing else the site may provide you with some ideas for you to make your own grill.
I would be interested in seeing your DIY finished grill. If you can post a hyperlink to the site that provides information on the making a grill I would appreciate it.

I didn't think Hyundai made a coupe in 2009. But try these guys.

Actually they started manufacturing the Coupe in 2008; mine has a manufacture date of 12/26/08 so it is actually a 2009; however Hyundai didn't start marketing them until mid to late 2009 as a 2010 model year vehicle. I believe mine is one of the first ones made because it's a Track model, but it did not come with the paddle shifters or the navigation, which are supposed to be standard equipment on the Track since it's the top of the line model. There have been so many little changes and additions to the Coupe in it's 2008-2012 years prior to the "facelift", you really have to be careful when ordering parts (especially aftermarket). Be sure the vendor (even when dealing with dealers) know your VIN number because this can make a real difference.

As far as the grill is concerned, there are many aftermarket mesh grills that are under $200; or you can buy a grill and put the mesh in yourself. Check this link: http://www.Genesis Coupe.com/gtsear...&siteurl=www.Genesis Coupe.com/&ref=&ss=0j0j1

I am a huge fan of the "make your own grille" idea. These guys that are out there making them are charging an arm and a leg for stuff that can be easily made by anyone out there -

For the raw material - check out this place, as they will have the mesh that you need to make the project yourself.
