  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hi. I'm a first time poster, and a recent GV60 owner.

I believe I successfully updated the Navigation software. but am not getting a persistent message "Preparing Map...This display will soon switch to the last Map mode used." However, the message hasn't gone away yet. Has anyone else seen that, and perhaps done something the make the message go away, or actually experience the display switching to the last Map mode used?

Welcome aboard! And thank you for signing up. Congratulations on your brand new Genesis GV60! What did the GV60 replace for you? I'm glad you found us. :) And I see you found an answer to your question below... That's what forums like this are for! :)

Thank you for the welcome. I have been driving an Infinity MX37 (2011). I really liked that car, but I decided to roll the dice and go with a Genesis this time. So far, it seems like a very, very good gamble. I am always looking to take the Genesis out of the garage and love to ride in it.

I've always like the Infiniti MX37. It's a nice luxury sedan. I'm confident you'll continue to find your decision to give Genesis a try a good one. They're doing a great job making luxury automobiles and they're always improving...
