  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

We just purchased a CPO 2023 GV60 Performance and love it ... but one minor issue. My wife finds the headrest on the passenger side very uncomfortable. It pushes her head too far forward, yes, and we've tried all the adjustments. I did notice that the rear headrests will fit into the mounting holes on the front seats (both sets of posts are 13 cm center-to-center) and using the smaller headrest up front is much more comfortable for her. Anyone else run into this issue? I'm contemplating purchasing a rear headrest to use up front unless someone has a more elegant solution. Thanks!

I’ve haven’t had this issue and find it surprising with how adjustable the front headrests are. My only concern with swapping out a headrest would be passenger safety in a collision.

Can you take a picture of the side profile of the seat? I've had a lot of people in the passenger seat and not once have I ever heard a complaint about the head restraint. It is forwards-backwards adjustable, but I assume you figured that out and tried it already based on your message text.

I've had a similar complaint from one passenger of mine. I think I wound up putting in the lowest position, back as far as it could go which she found just borderline acceptable. She's a tiny gal - 5'1" on a good day - is your wife also on the shorter side?

I am on the shorter side for a male (5'7") and the headrest fits me perfectly and the ones I had in many other cars never did. I am wondering if she perhaps missed an adjustment.

Not meaning to doubt you, but are you 100% sure you have done the full backwards adjustment of the headrest? I ask because in my initial test drive of the GV60 I also found the driver's headrest very uncomfortable, pushing my head too far forward. I asked the salesman about it and he assured me that the headrest was adjusted as far back as it would go. So I decided I wasn't going to buy the car because of that. A couple of months later, still interested in all the other aspects of the car, I went to another dealer and did another test drive. Initially had the same discomfort with the headrest -- but when I told the saleswoman about it, she said "let me adjust that for you" -- within seconds, she had it moved backwards significantly, and it was then totally comfortable. After the test drive she showed me how to do it -- it's not exactly intuitive, and it takes a bit of muscle, but once you get the hang of it it makes a big difference.

Thanks, that helped! We missed that little gem in the OM. Pulling the headrest to the full-forward position allowed me to adjust it to the full-aft position (talk about counter-intuitive). Now the wife says that the headrest is "acceptable" ... happy wife, happy life!

Yep, we missed the little notation in the OM that instructs us to pull the headrest fully-forward and then release it to the fully-aft position (just a bit counter-intuitive). In the fully-aft position my wife says the headrest is "acceptable" ... "happy wife, happy life." Thanks!

My wife is 5'5" and with the help of some other GV60 owners on this forum I did figure out how to move the headrest back a bit more, so she now considers it "acceptable."

My wife is 5'4", she also hated the headrest on that side. Another reason I am glad to have gotten rid of it.

I wanted to be discreet, but her complaint was more or less, "This headrest is messing up my hair"

I learned to never underestimate the degree to which those of us who are not follicularly challenged (i.e. bald) find things that press into the back of their carefully coiffed doos "annoying" :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Glad you got it sorted out - that's what this forum is for! Now all you need to do is show her how to lay that gorgeous seat nearly flat so she can lie in comfort and listen to the wonderful stereo while she sends you out of the car to run errands for her in the mall. 🤣

Just a simple button press in the software!

Only one of the front headrests on my 2025 GV80 3.5T Prestige adjusts front to back. Does anyone know where I can purchase a second HR that does adjust front to back? Dealer can't help.

That's bizarre. Which side adjusts? Any reason to believe the parts are different? Goes the GV80 have something special in the headrest like speakers, etc?

Whichever side I put the adjustable head rest in. the mounting holes appear to be universal. The headrests are different; one adjusts one does not. The dealer says that's operating as designed; Bullshit! The manual says "headrests" plural. Both should be adjustable up/down front/back.

The parts department should be able to order you another one, right? The parts counter should also be able to confirm that the two headrests are supposed to be different (for some reason - maybe cost?).

Can you check another 2025 model to see if it is the same? Or find some photo/video on the internet to confirm? The 23s and 24s adjust why not 25?

I would be VERY uninclined to foot the bill for this.
