  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

My 2023 GV70 (15,000 miles) AC was blowing hot air all of the sudden. Called the SW Florida dealership - it's a known issue. They have 20-30 cars waiting for evaporator coil replacement and aren't even scheduling appointments. I dropped my car off just to get it into the queue but it will take 2-4 weeks for repair. Was told they have 2 techs doing nothing but the AC repair, one car per day. Genesis of America is covering car rental of $80.00 per day. Was told it is not a formal recall.

That's terrible. Is that really an all day job?

I had it done on two different cars. Yes, pretty much. Just getting to it takes quite a bit of time. Mine shows 9.25 hours labor.
This is an expensive job out of warranty. figure close to $2000.

Mine was 2023 model and close to 24k miles. Took the dealer 3 weeks to fix it. Free though.

Mine failed at 27k. Cost me $512. to recharge and determine the problem. Failed again the next month and now they're replacing the Evaporator and said i can get the $$ back if i write to corporate. Such BS that I pay upfront and am inconvenienced when the dealer told me it's a known issue.
