  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hello Genesis community,
Im going to try explain this sorry if it doesn't make sense. I bought my GV70 sport about a month ago it's new-used around 16500 miles on it the vehicle good shape now mechanical wise I would like to think so. When I'm driving I noticed like a jerk motion pull kinda sorta grinding noise as well whenever I stop at red light or whenever the vehicle does shut off go thing and it does the same thing while I'm driving on the highway if anyone got any ideas it will be appreciated and yes I took my car service at Hyundai shop not too long ago and I was reluctant to say anything that's my fault a Genesis shop is almost a hour away from me. Thank you for the advice

Take it to the Genesis service center. They are the people who can diagnose the issue AND fix the issue properly.

Explaining what is happening to a bunch of people on the internet and wishing for help is like using WebMD to find out why an area on your leg hurts after jumping off a roof instead of going to an actual doctor/emergency room.

I will agree with you on the first line about going to the Dealer. (If your lucky to get a good tech to look at it and get an appointment in a reasonable period)
But by posting here, he can see if anyone else had the same issue and how they fixed it. This information might help the dealer in solving the problem. The car is under warranty so he is not planning to fix it himself, just to get some idea what is wrong.

If he is told exactly what the issue is based on a fairly broad description, how often is the service tech at the dealer going to listen to the solution found from a customer who read it on an online forum versus running a diagnostic test and fixing whatever the test results show? If the dealership is fixing cars based on online posts without doing their own research, I would suggest finding a different service center.

It is my belief that online trouble shooting is only a good idea when you want to try to DIY the solution OR the warranty has expired long ago. But hey, everybody has their own opinion how to fix things and this is the internet. LOL.
