Hi All,
I own a 2022 GV80 Prestige. I'm now on horn #6. Multiple replacements of both horns, then low tone, then high tone and it goes on and on. At some point it took them weeks to get me a new horn so I know others were also affected (based on the backlog of orders for a horn). Had some close calls where I needed the horn and it wouldn't activate and other times where one of two was not working and it gave such a wimpy sound that it didn't help to warn other drivers. Dealer service rep told me its a very common problem. I've tried working with genesis corporate but it seems their stance is to keep repairing it till it's out of warranty instead of investigating it and resolving the underlying issue.
Anyone with similar experience?
Has your dealer found a fix that works long term?
Have you filed an NHTSA complaint? (I just did so as its a legitimate safety issue. All cars on the road are required to have a working horn to pass inspection. Quite frankly, it's required for defensive driving with all the idiots on the road.)
