GV80 Steering wheel replacement

I have the 2.5 prestige with the Dune interior. I love it but wish I had the 2 tone steering wheel like the 3 5.

Have you asked your Genesis parts department what the upgrade steering wheel costs and if there’s any reason why they couldn’t be changed? Probably 3x more expensive than we would guess. I agree the two tone looks nice. Maybe a two tone modification could be handcrafted onto the existing wheel by a leather craftsman or faux airbrush artist (like mural/van painters) good at detailing. Just thinking outside the box. No alternative, however, is likely to be as durable when exposed to constant touching by hands. Maybe checking eBay or junkyards for collision parts. Let us know if you come up with anything. It’s still a fantastic car.

Thanks yeah it's only a year old so not really any junk parts out like that. But I have been consistently looking for Gene's to update it's parts but the Leather craftsman may be a great move

Self edited. I looked it up after asking and saw that all of the prestige’s are heated steering wheels. So I answered my own question.

Does your model have the heated steering wheel? The two toned steering wheel is heated.

Yes mine is heated. I have the Prestige model top trim in the 2.5

I would advise you not to go the route of customizing your existing wheel. You will not likely be happy with it long term. Wait it out until something comes up as a part of our unit on the used market or buy one new. No one is ever going to 100% match the OE look that you're asking for.

Also, if you want the exact OE look, you're going to need a new "dune" colored air bag (looks like non-prestige cars the wheel and airbag are 100% blue). That's going to be $1,000 or more new just for the air bag.
