  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Does anyone know how to reset the system? My touchscreen for the heating/cooling system along with the heated seats, heated steering wheel, ect is frozen. I can get heat to work when I press the auto button but can't change fan speed. It's been happening the last few days. Not sure how to restart the system. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You can download the manuals from the Genesis owners site and it should tell you how.

How are you trying to change the fan speed exactly?

Do any of the other controls work?

You don’t happen to be wearing gloves do you?

Attached is a picture to try to explain the issue.

When I try touching any of the touchscreen for fan speed, heated/cooled seats, heated steering wheel, ect. Nothing happens. I am not wearing gloves. The screen just doesn't respond.

Today, it wasn't working when I first started the car. I stopped to get coffee and turned the car off. When I started it up again it worked for the first time in 3 days.

I am taking it to the dealership on Friday for an oil change so I hope it happens when its at the shop.

Now, the plastic buttons around the touchscreen controls do work. Because it's not happening all the time it's hard to know what is going on. I do not see a reset button like on some older models that you push with a paperclip on the GV80.

Thanks again for the help.

This is the first issue I've ever had in the 12 months I've had the car. It's an amazing SUV.

I'm not sure whether the reset method for the main screen also reboots the system for the climate controls, but it's worth a try. Hold map and set-up buttons until the screen goes blank. Reboot takes less than a minute.

Thanks for the help. I will try it next time it happens.
