  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Today I got caught in a hail storm in NY and now have about 40 golf ball size dents on my car. There is not a single panel that was not hit. I was lucky that my windshield was not blown out as I saw other cars that were not so lucky. I was wondering if you had any advice when it comes to going about getting my car fixed cause it sure is heartbreaking.

There are expert car dent pullers and it is amazing what they can do. Google in your local area have them come out or you to them to see what they say and recommend. Otherwise your only other option is to take to dealer or paint & body shop.
Let us know what you choose and how it works out cost wise.

Safelite autp glass is good and then try paintless dent repair. Report damage the to your insurance company.

In 05, we ran through a Kansas hailstorm and incurred about $2k damage and used a PDR guy that charged $250. I can only find 1 spot that he didn't completely get out- 6 years later.

Went to bodyshop and was told 7k to 8k worth of damage.

wasting your time. find a PDR guy and get his estimate. it will come out 99.9% just let him do one panel per visit (so he doesn't rush and get tired) and you will love the results.

I agree on the PDR recommendation. We had a car riddled with hail storm dents and the car looked perfect afterwards. Just a few caulked up holes used for access in the door jambs.

Well I contacted the insurance and they are going to look at the car but i would say about ten hits are on the creases of the hood trunk and doors and even the roof and chrome molding i dont think pdr would be able to fix that or am i wrong.

I agree PDR. Just be sure to get someone where it's not their 1st day at the rodeo, ya know...
