  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Started thread .., not to hijack the other thread.

Happened Aug 1st... just found the damage when removing car cover last removed a few weeks ago.
The ironic thing... caught the hailstorm on video... hammering the house, truck, and car.
Have contacted insurance company... was hit pretty hard.

Will post if able to locate a video upload.

The Genny was in the background - under the car cover, next to the orange truck.

Wow, the hail damaged it while it was underneath the car cover? That sucks; sorry to hear that. How much damage was there?

Looks like 75-100 dimples... hood/roof/trunk.
Fortunately no glass/headlight damage.
Have appointments with PDR guys tomorrow.

Might be able to see the reflections of the paint 'ripple' across the dimples....

Finally got her home from the PDR shop. Back in shape once again.
Its a little un-nerving seeing her thru the rear view (on the trailer).

Looks like they did a real nice job. While I was in SC last summer, we had a fairly bad hail storm just south of me and the local PDR guy worked OT on a number of cars. I had him remove a shopping car ding and it was amazing to watch how skillful and quick he was with his tools. $40 later and ding gone.
