  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Has anyone successfully deleted a user profile in a 2022 G70?

I'm having a problem with my user profile (user two) and need to delete it it to see if that solves the problem, but cant find any way to do it. The GV80 has an option to delete, but not the G70. Any ideas? Maybe I'm missing something? TIA.

What is a user profile? Is this new to the 2022?

I didn’t think so but maybe. Maybe profiles were created with the last update? Anyone with a pre-2022 have user profiles? May be called Driver Profile?

Should be option to reset one or all profiles under setup.

Nope. Not that I can find. The Delete option is there in the profiles on my GV80, but not on the G70.

I’ve got user profiles on my ‘22 Tucson. #1, #2 and Guest are there by default. There’s really no need to delete them. Just change, or ignore, the needless ones. Obviously, you’ll always need # 1. The other profiles aren’t active if they are not selected.

I could be wrong, but this is my seat of the pants answer. I’ve only owned the car for 3 months and haven’t read the manual.

Okay, here's the problem: It's my wife's car. She's profile number one and 5'2". I'm profile number two and I'm 6'1". Somehow, the profiles each have the opposite seat adjustment linked with them. In other words, when she gets in the car after I've been driving it, she selects and confirms profile one and the seat MOVES BACK into my drivers position. Bad, but simply annoying.

When I get in after she's been driving and confirm profile two the seat moves to HER position and tries to ram me under the wheel and into the dash! Sounds funny, but not really humorous trying to catch the seat memory before I get crushed. This happens each time we switch drivers. I've considered simply swapping profiles, but that interferes with other settings that are registered in her name and automatically get linked with driver number one.

I've not been successful with anything I've come up with and the only thing I can think of that hasn't been tried (so far) is a complete reset of the system but I've found no way to do it. Any new suggestions would be welcome. TIA. PS: Using the reset button on the dash hasn't had any effect, assuming I'm doing it right.

Aren’t the seat/mirror setting buttons (Set #1 and Set #2) on the driver’s door?

They are superseded by the profiles and must be reset to override them. There’s probably a bug that requires starting over and I can’t find the method to do it.

So then this is just the door buttons? Just do it the way to want and over write the old settings.

Please reread. Not the door buttons. The door buttons work properly.

I did. I don't have a 2022 so unsure what a profile is or how it's used. Good luck.

A post from another Hyundai forum.

“My wife and I have separate settings for the seats etc. but usually if I have turned off and locked the car and she unlocks it, my settings are used (and vice versa). We've got to the point now of just pressing the 1 or 2 button on the door as soon we realized the seats are moving into the other persons position.”

That’s fine and it works if you don’t change profiles, but strangely, there are other settings that only change when you hit “Confirm” on your own profile. That’s when our problem starts. I’ve found no way to fix the issue, hence: my posts.

Apologies for digging up such an old post. My wife and I are running into the same issue, have you been able to resolve? 2022 G70 AWD.

No, not really. For shorter trips I just leave it in her profile and use my memorized seat positions. That’s where the most important things are anyway (steering wheel position, mirrors and HUD).

Some of us have no idea what you are talking about. How and where are these profiles stored and accessed?
