  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Has this happened to anyone?

Normally, I keep my headlights / fog lights on the "Auto" setting, however sometimes I will turn them to the "On" position and noticed sometimes my fog lights turn on and off (flicker) when I never touched them. It will even have the fog light indicator on my screen turn off as well. Usually for about 1-3 seconds.

Would this be a loose wire or something? Also if you barely touch the knob to go left or right, I believe this triggered the issue as well (only every so often).

I've never encountered this problem with either my 2009 or the current car. Sounds like a faulty Fog Lamp Switch.

Yeah... mine are always on as well... no flicker.

Hasn't happened to me and I leave both on "Auto" setting.

Definitely something wrong with wires or something, I was messing around with it last night and it was going CRAZY (shutting off headlights and fog lights, switching to DRL, going back to normal, one light goes off, etc. It's at the dealer now, I'll let you know what they say in case anyone else experiences this issue in the future.

Just an update: they called and said everything is now fixed. Two of the ground wires were loose.

Yet another example of loose or incorrectly installed wiring & connectors. From what I've seen on this forum I'd say that's Hyundai's largest manufacturing quality control issue. That or lousy wheel alignments!

Did they tell you where the loose grounds were? It'd be nice to archive that info in these forums for the next time...
