Horrible customer service during the entire buying process and after. I got there and they said they needed to detail my car before I could take it. I asked why, as the car was brand new. They showed me the car and it had some mud behind the front wheel -- the manager (?) said there's no way they'll allow a Genesis to go out like that. I figured okay, 10 minutes later and I'll be out of here. I sat in the lobby for literally hours constantly asking what's going on. Someone would come out, ask if i wanted a cup of coffee say they'd check on things and then I'd be left alone for another 30 minutes and this continued until I finally went into the office and said I'm about to leave. The paperwork they brought out first had the wrong car info (VIN, color, etc.) - I told them I'm not signing anything that has incorrect info. Maybe an hour later (see my previous sentences) they come out with a reprint and it had a different price which didn't match the agreed upon price -- this one had a "Accessories: $1000" charge added on! When I got to the finance department, once again there was wrong info and it had to be reprinted. Finally after hours (5?) I got the car.
In WA the dealer has 45 days to register title and get the plates to you - you can't use temporary plates legally after that date. After 30 days I still had a temporary, so I called DMV. DMV said they never received a title transfer, so I need to call the dealer. I called the dealer and the first time they said that the DMV is probably slow, but I told them I had just called the dealer and the dealer said it was never registered. They told me they'd call me back in a couple of days after they check in. They never called me back, and I ended up having to call them two more times. The last time I threaten them with legal action (I literally was going to call my lawyer after hanging up if I felt there wasn't going to be any action) for them to register the title and get my plates, despite stating that it was on its way. Go figure. Later that day they call me and say that the plates just came in! (What a coincidence!) I checked the registration and the date of registration was literally the day I threatened a lawsuit.
So you'd think all is fine right? Nope. That was in December. I now got a letter from the loan company (as I paid off the car) that says I should go to DMV to get a lien-free title as they don't have the title. I went to DMV and they said that there's an restriction (? I can't remember which word they used) that's been on the title since December. DMV said they'll call me back after talking to the folks in the Capital to see what's up as typically there shouldn't be anything like this.
On the bright side, I absolutely love my G80 sport, but I'd be hard pressed to recommend this dealership to anyone at this point.
