Head Light OEM Bulb 2012 5.0 Rspec

My bulb turned pink. Dealer info me that it is rare to happen, they want $394 plus labor to replace. Any ideas?

Would you replace the bulb yourself? If so, here is a direct replacement for your HID bulb linked below. Stay away from Ebay since many products on Ebay for lighting are Chinese knock-offs and are poor quality.

Thanks. I called the dealer and they info me that the quote included the lighting ballast at $267 plus the bulb at $187. What is the ballast?

The ballast fires up your bulbs when you turn them on and the ballast also regulates the current into the light bulb. Similar with old florescent light tubes some people use in their garage, they also require a ballast. Your ballast is reusable and the bulb connects from the ballast into the headlight housing.
