  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Where is the headlight sensor located? Behind the grille? I was considering a bra but wondered if it could slip and cover any of the sensors resulting in a) adaptive CC not functioning and rear ending someone
b) headlights on all the time
Are the black plastic lens like objects below the grille just decorative?

The Auto Headlight sensor is on top of the dash near the windshield in front of the passenger. It also switches the Nav Screen from day to night mode if you have "auto" selected for this function.

I have complained about this sensor a number of times (both here and to my dealer service dept) as it is way too sensitive. On my car a highway overpass can trigger it or in broad daylight and sunshine, the shadow from a truck I'm passing. I got fed up with the headlights switching on and off (the cars in front thought I was flashing my lights at them) so I just keep them switched on all the time the engine is running. My dealer says the sensitivity is not adjustable.

I would recommend a clear film paint protector such as 3M, as in my experience, a bra will not only rub and cause scratches, but will retain moisture and cause paint damage underneath the bra. If you do get a bra, make sure it has cutouts for the radar sensors.

I have a bra for my 2009 sedan that I use for winter time long highway drives to minimize bumper/nose paint damage from road salt/ash. It was made by Colgan and has openings for the bumper mounted parking sensors; they had versions for cars without the parking sensors too. I'd assume the 2010/2011 versions would have whatever openings are required for the adaptive cruise control sensors.

It fits well though it takes a couple strong pulls (pliers help) to install the clips in the front wheel wells. The instructions are pretty poor; they're generic to pretty much all Colgan bras so none of the pictures/fasteners line up with the Genesis bra.
