  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hello everyone!

I’m the proud new owner of a bone stock 2011 Genesis sedan with the 4.6 with 189k (😳) miles. I live in south Orange County California. It will be my daily driver for the foreseeable future.

I purchased the car from an older woman who has taken ridiculously religious care of it with full synthetic oil changes every 5k miles, frequent tranny flushes, suspension maintenance, and any other little niggles along the way over her ownership since purchasing the car new.

So far I absolutely adore the car. I’m coming from a 2021 Mustang Mach E and I’m just happy to no longer have a car payment. I’m planning to add some tasteful 20” wheels and do intake/exhaust so I can hear that glorious V8.

I can tell this is a great and super helpful squad as I have lingered and read up on various topics about the car the past couple days in this forum.

Welcome aboard! And thank you for signing up. I'm glad you found us. Congratulations on your new Genesis Sedan! It sounds like you found a really nice one - and no payments, huh? Isn't that something? The first generation is a nice car - especially when it's been well maintained. :)
