Hello everyone trying to find out about my alternator if it has a separate voltage regulator. And/or is the voltage regulator controlled by the computer?

The computer controls charging. If you have cleared the battery as the problem, a diagnostic check of the charging system will tell you if the alernator is bad or if the problem is with another part of the electrical system, such as a grounding issue or computer. This video should help.
