  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Need some guidance on how/where to run wire from fog light switch on dash through the firewall. Several on the fog light retrofit thread (Marshall Jones, LouKango, Roikens) indicated it can be done without any drilling, but I have been unable to locate an existing grommet to pass the wire through -- there is supposed to be one near the brake pedal. Also, how do you reach the wire after it's passed through the firewall? There are so many components located around the power brake booster and master cylinder (as well as a plastic cover) that it seem almost impossible to reach down to locate and pull a wire through. I have worked on a lot of cars over the years, but I don't think I've ever seen an engine compartment so packed and lacking access to the firewall. Some guidance from those who've succeeded would be greatly appreciated.

On the driver side follow where the hood release cable is, use coat hanger to poke thu the rubber. :)
