Getting familiar with the group...
I recently added a smart key (I purchased pre-owned and the car only came with one key) and was fat and happy with two functioning smart keys. About two weeks ago I had a need to use my spare (formerly the only one I had, I had been using the newly purchased second key exclusively), I was very dissapointed to find that the battery was seemingly 'dead'.
I inserted the fob into the little cubby hole in the dash and she fired right up.
Since then I replaced the battery, but the key still doesn't work as a remote!
Anyone else have this problem. Before you ask, I verify that both keys worked at the time I purchased the second key...I am aware that there are only two keys permitted to function per Genesis...
