Hi,
I just went from a 2012 Genesis 4.6 (175k) to a 2015 Genesis "Ultimate" with 14,500k.
I'm still getting acclimated to all the changes and differences....but one change is rather infuriating and I'm hoping someone here may be able to help.
I still use an iPod Classic (I like making my own playlists and I can use uncompressed Apple Lossless files) and when I plug it into the USB, it resets itself each time I turn the car off. Thus it automatically starts playing the very first song EVERY TIME I start the car. It doesn't remember what it was playing last (oddly I can eject a CD, put it back it in and the CD will pick up EXACTLY where it left off). Getting back to where you were in the playlist a pain the ass.
I've tried using 2 different Hyundai branded iPod cables (see attached) neither worked. So I just used the regular cord and that worked but the iPod reset is irritating AF.
I'm about to try using the USB port with a thumb drive to see if that works any better but I'm pretty sure the same thing will happen.
The Nav/infotainment system has never been updated. Was this ever addressed in software update?
Should I do an update to the system?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Best
