  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hi,

I'm new to this forum. I became the proud owner of a pre-registered 2024MY Premium GV60 (in UK) Wednesday. While driving home from the dealer, it tried to update to the latest infotainment version with wireless Android Auto / Carplay.
It appeared to download okay and gave me the option to install, but has since been stuck at the install point since Wednesday. In addition the sat nav displays a 'Route guidance unavailable...' message if I try to select a destination.

In settings there's a message saying, 'Preparing to Install Navigation System Software...'. The system isn't installing the update though. This is what I've tried so far in an attempt to resolve it:

Restarting the infotainment system (holding down left and right buttons). The system restarts, but that doesn't make any difference to the update issue.
Entering Dealer Mode and pressing Reset DCU. That didn't appear to do anything at all. I tried it several times.
Deleting Connected Services and reconnecting my account. That deleted all my settings but didn't affect the update.
Driving the car for several hours. No change :( either.

Has anyone else had this problem, and were they able to fix it? I'm grateful for any advice.

Curiously after recharging the car this issue resolved itself. The update applied itself and everything works great. Something for others with the same issue to try i guess.
