  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

It's hard to answer all your questions about reselling etc. but for a lease vehicle it looks like it was maintained well. Kind of unusual for lease vehicles. One thing to find out is the condition of the tires. At the mileage listed they've either been replaced or need to be replaced. These tires can easily run $700-$800 for a set plus 4 wheel alignment.

A leased car can be traded just like any other car...perhaps the person leasing it traded it to Enterprise then Enterprise sold it at auction.

Didn't realize you could do that. At least its only a few months and about 100 miles on the car since the Enterprise line item.

Not all leases are through the dealer/manufacturer. Enterprise has their own leasing business, where they buy the car and lease it to consumers. I am not saying this is what happened here, because the Carfax is not really clear on that.

Carfax story . Some what related.
I saw a 2009 Geni with 40k Miles on it . It was being sold by a dealer from Atlanta in Massachusetts. The flags were out but the carfax checked out. No issues . Clean all way. Tried other VIN sites no issues. The seller showed me the title of the car with the previous owner name on it. I googled his name and called him. Guess what it was car from MA in a hail storm . The owner sold it to the insurance company which sold it to the auction and the this seller got it from it. I called the carfax peeps and they said " if they dont report we cant tell "

Moral .
Check the Carfax /VIN autocheck
Call the previous owner if you can find out who
Get it checked out in a professional paint place and mechanic .

Never buy a car that has gone through a rental company. Ever.
