Help with radio/nav 2015 G80

My display has the genesis logo and the words blue link at the upper right corner. The radio doesn't work. Neither does the nav, phone, bluetooth. I have checked all the fuses I believe involved and disconnected the battery but nothing changes the display. I am looking for advice or help from anyone having a similar problem.

Your symptoms indicate a corrupt firmware/operating system. Try to reset the DIS/Multimedia unit. On my 2018 G80 there is a small reset button on the DIS/radio unit. See page 1-5 of the 2015 Hyundai Genesis Navigation manual.

There is also an electronic version of the manuals in the cars DIS/radio unit. Er wait, never mind

BTW, you indicate a 2015 G80 in your post. There is no such thing (in the U.S. anyway). In 2015 it was a Hyundai Genesis 3.8 or 5.0. The change to Genesis G80 name started in 2017.

Thanks for the correction. It is a 3.8 and I have tried that reset on the unit along with pressing buttons and combinations of buttons to no avail. I still have the Genesis logo along with blue link in the display that slowly flashes. I don't have the blue link option turned on. There is power to the two multimedia fuses and the fuses are good so the problem must be downstream from the fuses. The back up camera works so the display itself must be good. I heard there was a firmware change about the time this started but I don't know if that was the problem. Hyundai/Genesis will not tell me anything unless I get a diagnosis done which will most likely be my next step.

To update on my radio nav problem I went to the dealership and they tried to do a software update and it failed so they told me I needed a new head unit for a price of 7K. I found one on ebay and now everything except my backup camera works. There is another problem. I have no sound from the radio, cd player, etc. Any fix for this, I haven't found any fuses bad and don't know what controls sound output.

I’m having the same problem on my 2015 genesis 5.0, radio don’t work, backup camera don’t work, usb don’t work, screen is the genesis symbol. Have you found anything out?
