  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Just thought I'd take a moment to introduce myself. I'm a car geek & an aviation enthusiast (kinda my job now). Anyways, just bought my first Genesis today :D! It's the European version though :(. Currently I drive a S63 in the US as a daily driver but the '96 honda we had over here was just too small. I wish that they sold the Genesis in the US as they did here in Europe (only real difference is found in the rear seats). If they sold this exact car I would snatch it up in a heart beat in the US. Anyways, just thought I'd say hello! Finally got the pictures on here.

Whoa Europe gets a much better version!

So far the differences that I've been able to tell are the following (this is from a bit of googling & a talk with my dad who owns a 3.8 AWD Ultimate):
- Inclusion of an "around view monitor" (available on the EQUUS in the US)
- Advanced Traction Cornering Control (basically lessens the "sharpness" feel of the corner)
- Soft close doors
- Automatic parking (both parallel & back-in)
- Rear Seats:
- Outboard seats are electrically adjustable via the center console. Center console houses controls to move individual seat forward/backward & adjust angle of seat. Both seats (except the center seat) are heated & ventilated. You can also "lock" the seats in place with a touch of a button, raise & lower the rear window sunshade, have decent control of the multimedia system (although there isn't a rear seat entertainment option). Center console has a decent amount of storage.

Now onto the price. I paid €50,000 even (about $55,000) which included the standard 19% VAT. That was my drive away cost. Mine had a bit under 1,000 KM (600ish miles) because it was a "demonstrator" car. The car was exactly like the 0 KM model sitting next to it but €10,000 cheaper (literally the exact same). Since I bought a demonstrator I got them to included HPP for free for me making me pay nothing for maintenance until it hits 100K miles :) (no deductible either)!

Here's a link to their brochure if anyone wants it.
