Hi all... just joined...

Have a 09 Sonata I just LOVE (traded 06 Lexus IS250) and like it more in every way... have been looking hard at BMW 545I & 550i and keep coming back to the Genesis... WAY more for the money obviously and have had NOT A SINGLE ISSUE with my Sonata, sooooooooo....

I'm torn between the Genesis Sedan 4.6 and upcoming 3.8 Coupe... the space will probably win out. I've already read some GREAT posts and info here, so any feedback on 3.8 vs 4.6 sedan and/or plans to move to Coupe, I'm all ears!!

Lastly, the Coupe arrives late spring 09???

All I can say is that I love my V8 Genesis!!! Now, if they can squeeze the V8 in the Coupe, or turbo the v6 I would go for the coupe if space was not the issue!

Anywho, glad to have ya and look forward to your comments!

Welcome aboard, Russ! Thank you for signing up! That's a rough decision you have to make there.. Personally, I'd take the V8 Genesis Sedan - but I'm much more into luxury cars.. Otherwise, I'd take the Genesis Coupe..

If you have/plan to have a family within the next 2-3 years = 3.8 Sedan.

If not, Gen Coupe.

I havent driven the V8 sedan, but from my experience with the 3.8 Sedan you have more than enough power. Of course, your mile may vary.

By the way, the expected launch of the Gen coupe is sometime in Feb of 2009.

Same here, sat in the Genesis and keep coming back to it... sedan with two youngsters makes total sense here, debate is 3.8 vs 4.6... in WI, winters get ugly so extra HP might be a waste

See above, sedan more practical, and Feb is soooooo far away...

Found 4.6 dark grey at a dealer 38 miles away.... trying to stay away for just a while longer...
