  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

hello
I don't own a genesis coupe yet but I am in the market for a new car
five years ago I would never have seen myself thinking about buying a hyundai but the value of this car is too amazing

I am currently considering a 2008 S2000, 2010 370z or miata.

I am having a bit if trouble convincing my honey to get this car though. she says the car felt floaty on the highway. From the reviews and specs I would find this impossible. has anyone else come across this?
there is also alot of engine vibration coming into the cockpit and the ride is a bit rough? I would be looking at the 3.8 grand touring model to be specific.

and lastly does anyone know anything about this kit and how much does it run?
because if I do get this car I would definitely consider doing this if it would run under 5000$ or so.

Get the Track version of the Coupe and you will get all the whistles and bells. The ride will be stiffer because of the sport suspension. Some things in that kit will already be on the car with the Track model. I am tickled with my Yellow Track model. My choice was between the Miata, Mustang, Camaro, and Genesis Coupe. The Genesis was the most value for the money. No problems so far!

I have the 3.8 Grand Touring model which would be considered the more luxury version of the models with a more compliant ride. I've also driven a Track model. The Track version has a stiffer ride compared to the Grand Touring but I could never consider the GT as being floaty. The car did have an alignment issue and caused it to kind of "wander" on the highway. I had them realign to the new specs and it's been spot on ever since.

I chose the GT because of the roads where I live.

The road noise that comes through is a bit higher than other cars I've owned over the years but I do believe it's because of the OEM tires and minimal sound dampening. I suspect that when I go to the Conti-Extreme DWS tires they should help quiet it down.

The 3.8 engine does rev a bit high at 80mph but I don't feel that it's buzzy. Drive a 2000 Pontiac Sunfire 4-cyl base model for the true definition of buzzy. Worst car I've ever driven.

Even though I have the GT, this car puts a smile on my face every time I drive it. And I have the auto with flappy-paddle shifters.

On a side note, one thing I should have opted for when I bought the car was the limited-slip rear diff.

Thanx, I have a few more questions
I am thinking about the navigation pack

I have an iphone, is it possible to listen to something like pandora while charging the iphone?
some model radios as soon as you plug in the iphone jack it goes straight to your ipod controls and accesses your music folder

but I dont want to do that, I want sound to come out the car speakers but I want to use the pandora app or the youtube app while charging
is this possible with the hyundai?

yes, it is possible as you would just need to pause the i pod function and then use whatever app you want, or you can buy an aux cable and another usb cord and use it that way. Doing either I stated above will not allow you to use the steering controls, which some people do not like.
