  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I own and love a 2016 Genesis 3.8l sedan. However, today I was in cruise control, so as not to speed thru a school zone, and the car threw a code. It gave a message for a second or two about a SCC malfunction, and went into limp mode. Didn't know there was such a thing til I started asking about why my car suddenly felt like it has a "governor" on it. Anyone know about this malfunction? They are telling me to tow it in. UGH! I just had the 60K service done (a bit early) and noticed things were a bit different. I'm wondering if something went amiss with that maintenance. Thoughts? Is this going to be a big deal?

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
Go to a auto parts supply house and get the OBDIi code read so you know what the issue is. Most auto parts houses will read codes for free for you. Then you will know if your going to be bent over a lot at the dealer or just a little.

Done! Hubby did it tonite. Thanks. Sounds like its a sensor. Cannot clear the code without actually fixing it. Which means its in limp mode til fixed. :-/
