  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hi racerx here. Have had my car a month now and I can't get the grin off my face! FYI. On a road trip to Cape Cod activated the rear seat heat for my passanger, when I got to Mass. I opened up the arm rest holder and cup holder, both were blazing hot. Just had the tech look over the car he said all was well, however we both concluded this could be the start of something. Check out your systems. Gotta go can't wait to share more stories and to gwet to know some of ya'll when time allows. Drive well, drive fast, drive safe!

Always,

Stuart

Welcome aboard, RacerX! Thank you for signing up and congratulations on your new Hyundai Genesis! Since you bought yours a month ago, I'm going to assume you have a V6. Am I correct?

congrats and welcome. Please keep us posted about the rear seat heat issue

Yes I do have the V6. After watching all the automotive shows in the last year and determinig my wants vs. needs list, the V6 was the choice for me. Without all the horsepower the V8 offers the car is still a BEAST! On the trip to Cape Cod, with three adults, luggage and a full tank of gas, not only did the car run smooth and quite, it was cruising 95 north at 90 miles an hour!!! Oh boy I gotta watch my right foot. So far nothing but smiles here. I'm looking forward to Spring/Summer '09 and the roads of the Northeast.

0-60 in 6.1 seconds is certainly fast enough - and faster than most cars on the road. :)

I don't recall reading that the rear seats are also heated. Can anyone confirm this?

The rear seats are NOT heated. This thread is referring to a recurring problem with the heater outlet on the back of the console that pumps heat/air to the back seat area. See post #5 in this thread for a link to the major discussion of this issue.

Sorry, I misread. Wow! This is still an issue! What Hyundai doing about this?
