  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
    If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hey guys, my genesis coupe is a lease and I want to get HIDS without modifying anything because i might bring the car back. I can't find any HIDS that dont need mods, any advice?

Most of the "HID kits" sold online can be installed with minimal modifications.
One thing being drilling a small hole on the headlight housing cap to allow the wires to go through.

You can always cover it up with electrical tape before returning the vehicle(I don't think they check the back of the headlights upon inspection), or you could simply get another pair of those caps to replace the modified ones.

Or, you could buy an aftermarket or OEM headlight housings all together for the HID mod, but that'll set you back another few hundred dollars.
Your choice. :)

Good luck!

maybe a better alternative for you.....

PIAAis launching a new bulb for the H11B application, which I beleive is what you have.

In September 2011 an "Xtreme White Plus" bulb from PIAA comes out.
Wattage 55W -> 110W
Kelvin 4000K

A great in-expensive HID alternative to drilling holes (that will potentially leak moisture) and the high cost of HID.

Will update this for you when they are market available with PIAA vendor name & contact info... or PM me.
